Das Buch «Africa’s Population: In Search of a Demographic Dividend» beabsichtigt den Dialog zur Bevölkerungsentwicklung in Afrika anzustossen. Die Chancen und Risiken des enormen Bevölkerungswachstums in den kommenden Jahrzehnten sowie konkrete Empfehlungen, wie Afrika seine sich ändernde Bevölkerungsstruktur nutzen kann, um daraus eine sogenannte «demografische Dividende» zu erzielen – das sind die Themenschwerpunkte des Buches. Es vereint Beiträge von renommierten afrikanischen und internationalen Wissenschaftlern mit dem Ziel, ein international anerkanntes Referenzwerk für Entscheidungsträger in Politik, Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Akteuren der internationalen Zusammenarbeit zu werden.
