Financial Demography

What is the issue?

«Financial Demography» describes the interaction between demographics and financial markets. The relevant fields of analysis are the financial market behaviour of individuals over their life cycle (income, savings, investing, asset erosion, etc.), investor behaviour, regional differences in demographic dynamics, as well as the resulting consequences for financial markets. The potential effects on macroeconomic indicators (interest rates, inflation, economic growth, etc.), performance of various asset classes (equities, bonds, real estate, etc.), individual retirement provisions, and their resulting interdependencies are evaluated.
